WINTER BALL 2012 Recap
Nearly 70 college coaches from all over attended to watch the players, teams, and coaches battle on the court. There are so many people to thank that helped make Winter Ball 2012 successful.
Patriots dig deep to overcome deficit vs. Bronx’s Kennedy
The young Francis Lewis girls’ basketball team played like veterans when it mattered. The Patriots’ starting lineup doesn’t have a single upper classmen in it, but they beat Bronx’s John F. Kennedy like a senior squad.
Preseason girls hoops: No. 14 Francis Lewis
Gone were a group of seniors who had a ton of experience as Jasmine Davis, Jazmine Hamlet and Tyese Purvis all graduated from a squad that lost to eventual champion Murry Bergtraum in the semifinals of the PSAL Class AA playoffs last March. What they lack in experience, the Patriots make up for in work ethic and desire to succeed.
